"Lawn burns are caused by the high nitrogen content in dog urine. Dog pee has a high nitrogen content because dogs are carnivorous, eat lots of protein, and the breakdown products of protein digestion passed out in the urine are high in nitrogen. When passed on a small area of lawn it acts like a massive overdose of fertiliser and 'burns' the grass. The effect will be more noticeable if the urine is strongly concentrated, or if the urine is very alkaline, but it is the nitrogen content only that actually causes the effect. If a dog drinks plenty of water it will ensure the urine produced is not too concentrated, although in many dogs their urine still causes urine burns to the lawn. Ha-Pee Lawns applies a unique approach compared to other lawn care products, by focusing on the well-being of the dog which inturn benefits lawns. How do I serve to my dog?
Just add the advised number of 5ml spoonfuls directly onto your dog's food. If your dog has more than 1 meal a day, you can divide the dosage between the meals.
What if my dog doesn't like it?
Dogs do have a very powerful sense of smell and some dogs may be wary about this 'new smell'. This can normally be addressed be introducing it gently into his food. Start by adding a quarter of a spoonful to each meal and increase slightly every day until you are at the required dose.
How long will it take to see results?
We recommend that your dog is using the product for at least 3 weeks to see optimum results.
Do I need to use it everyday?
Yes in order to provide long term support for your dog the tonic should be used daily.
